Yes, open pros...
Make sense, they're fine until you go beyond 28mm, which result in needing to pump the tyres a bit more to stop from feeling overly squirmy in corner, which take away the advantage of a larger tyres.

There you go. CRM may not be for you then.

Rollers. Bike not hair. I need some - any recommendations?

I looked into this a little while ago when my tacx antares crapped out, but never got round to it / couldn't afford them.
Trutrainer were the ones I was looking at, but I've never actually ridden them. Otherwise kreitlers.
They sound great, being able to coast/get out of the saddle for sprints etc. -

I have the Kreitler Challenger medium rollers, they're solid value.
^ I can get out of the saddle while on the Kreitlers. -

Any comments?
As a matter of principle, I'd avoid anything with that many SEO terms in the description :)

Just struggled to get a set of compact bars into a quill stem, had to open up the stem a bit. Now there's a slight crease in the stem.
Thinking I should bin the stem now? -

Thinking I should bin the stem now?
Yes. Unless you have a particular desire to provide your dentist with a lot of extra work.

Is there a better way to cover up scuffs and scrapes in a brake lever than just using a permanent marker?

eBay purchases: I bought a bike and specifically asked about condition of bearings (among other things). Seller described them as smooth, on putting the bike on my workstand I find they are toasted. I raised this already at the pickup but seller disputed (was of the opinion it was a preload issue, however the corrosion i can see would suggest otherwise).
What's the procedure here - offer seller the chance to sort it, or go straight to a dispute via eBay and PayPal?
-
• #80693
Raising a dispute allows communication between you and seller about issue and shows them you're serious. I've had sellers drag private messages beyond the dispute time-limit and then tell me to do one. Would just go straight to dispute nowadays.

Good to know. What's the dispute time-limit?

Bust a spoke on the rear wheel of my charge plug - just the cheap OEM wheel on £350 bike with 2k km commuting on it.
Trash the wheel or repair (I'm too dumb to replace spoke and true the wheel myself, so I'd have to pay someone to repair)?
-
• #80696
It costs like £15 at an LBS to replace a spoke. Mine usually does it within the hour.
-
• #80697
Seems like value - will try for repair.
Thanks.

Once one goes, that usually means more are to follow.

If you don't fancy buying a new wheel, just buy a handful of spokes (ask for correct length at lbs) and a spoke key. Very straightforward replacing a single spoke.
As has been said ^, if one goes the rest will likely be soon to follow. It becomes very expensive to get your lbs to replace one spoke at a time. If you're going to be taking it there might as well get them to relace the whole wheel with new spokes

I dropped the pressure as a test today.
No problem with cornering (as I knew already)... I know the thing you describe, feeling like the rim offsets itself from the tire's contact point on the road, under lateral pressure... I don't have this problem. It feels stable... It's just I feel I need to push harder than when inflated up to tyre's max allowance, which it what I'm used to do on my bikes in general. Maybe I'm not meant to have big tyres, which is annoying these 35c are bang on with the bike's proportion, from a superfluous aesthetics point of view...
I don't have a 'sales cycle'
