• I read your thread with passing interest, then worried when you wrote 'track fork, drilled for brake'. Happily, that's not really a track fork (round blades) but a road fork (oval) - a really good thing as heavy brake loads don't make horrible flex on the fork. I had a round-bladed fork, badly drilled, filled back in when repairing it because the braking was quite alarming, there was really no point having the hole, better make it brakeless-only for ever. Funnily enough that bike's 531SL too ... but not built for roads like this.

    Such a lovely bike, glws. A total gate for some tall person to love.
