I'm thinking of buying a Roku stick but there seem to be loads of options. Just looking for cheap, 1080p (4k not needed) and that's about it. Alternatively (this would be my preference) are any of the Android sticks any good. I had one a few years ago and it was pretty poor. Just something portable to plug into the back of a tv.
Raspberry Pi is what I have - it's very versatile if you have files on NAS/networked drives. Not good if you want Netflix/Amazon as they don't play nice with linux, but will do ITV/BBC/4oD.
Cheers, I have a raspberry Pi at home which is fine. I was just looking for something portable for when I'm travelling but everything in the stick form factor seems a bit under-powered.
