Shimano 8/9/10 speed med cage rear mech

For an 8 speed cassette and road 8 speed shifter, but afaik 8/9/10 speed Shimano mechs will work with this?

Must be med/long cage, cassette I'm using is 11-32.

Preferably very cheap/free. Nothing fancy. Based in SW or postage.

I think you'll need a mountain bike one to work on an 11 tooth or a 10 speed road.

I think the only 8 speed mechs that work on 11 tooth cogs are old mountain bike ones. Road mechs for 11 tooth cogs only came in with the first high end 10 speed groups.

Probably not 11-32 then, more like 12-32 as it came off an old 8 speed MTB. Thanks for the info anyway!
