The encryption backdoor thing is interesting. I can see that being explicitly requested in an RFP, and losing U.K. companies a lot of business (if they have been requested to back door their product. My company is US based but we have a number of data centres in Europe to serve EMEA - none in the UK though, and we won't go their in future.
