Well.. for £500 and a majority of votes in the constituency.

So, does £500 and 10 votes not get you to MP status? Does it just get you into local council level? Then what? You have to win the local election to become an MP for that area?

Becoming an MP makes one an actual target though, as apposed to just being one of the masses in the general trawl.
