I was drinking with a mate of his last night, he was pretty cut up after getting a call about why he died earlier in the day. RIP.

It was a lazy comparison on my part but Cuba has been a very hard place to live for decades. Sure, everyone is educated well but everyone has to hustle their arses off every day to get by. Havana is quite literally crumbling, too. No-one I know from there has anything good to say about the regime and having been there, one can see how brutal it is but at least it's photogenic for the tourists. It's totally over-romanticised.
