Ha! Yeah I guess that does sound odd!
For those not in the know, when you die in previous Souls games you respawn with a smaller life bar, the more you die (because it's hard) the harder it is to play (as you die easier)
A massively masochistic mechanic that puts a lot of players off and spurs on a lot of others -

All this talk of Dark Souls has prompted me to pick up Shovel Knight.
Apparently the death/respawn mechanic is similar to Dark Souls (I've yet to play them so can't comment).
It's apparently very, very good. Will report back.

Don't watch this if you haven't played Dishonored 2 yet, but man it does show how many different ways you can play

Started a cross-lab game of Neptunes Pride last night. 2 of us have played before, 6 newbies. Keeping it completely anonymous at the moment. Such tension.

I ignored the whole thing and did it without Jindosh knowing I was there :)
Trick is not to pull any levers before taking him out (I didn't kill him).
Took AGES -

am tempted to restart outside the mansion and do it that way.
took me ages to figure out you could get in between the rooms after I walked up to him at the start.

FYI you can enable hollowing by speaking to one of those crawling gents featured heavily in the intro and following his optional story line, this line leads to an alternative ending and fight.
Brilliant game but I did prefer bloodborne, played it so much I got the platinum. -

I played the hell out of it at launch, not touched it in over 3 years so it's no doubt a different game now. It's a lot of fun if you've got people to play with, I used to play in a big group and we could coordinate a couple of full platoons over voice chat each night. The big battles were epic like nothing else I've played, doing an air drop with 60 people and attacking a place together was so much fun. I'm not sure how much you'd get out of it just playing solo but I'm sure it's still alright.

So I'm a little behind the times here... I've been playing my little brother's old ps3 for a while. Caned off some classic games on it.
Got my new ps4 yesterday evening and had a quick go on the last of us and gta 5.
Fuck me, GTA5 is beautiful.

Really enjoying skyrim again. Made sure I did some reading this time before starting. Looking forward to getting into it more although I've played a while and hardly done any of the main quest!

I installed my new mobo, gpu, cpu and ram this evening, all gone without a hitch, except the fan at the back of my case doesn't reach the power socket on the new board. I just played a quick round of BF1 and the difference is insane coming from a 280x to a 480

^ with NES games emulator or shumfink?
-
• #16398
you run retropie, https://retropie.org.uk that link has everything you need and step by step guides to everything. You have to put a little bit of work in but you can have emulators for NES, SNES, Megadrive, Amiga, basically all the classic systems. I like the NES Mini but you can only have the 30 games that come with it.

Or if you want something even more basic, just download an emulator for your computer. I never got around to sorting it on my Pi as I've always had (S)NES emulators and ROMS on my computer.
SNES USB controllers are also a must, naturally.
What a strange sentence...
I liked the fact that when you die you die properly, lose your soul(s), and everything. You go hollow brrrrrrr
