2016 Supersix Tiagra can be had for £720 at Start Fitness today (or £800 any other day). I got mine delivered a couple of weeks ago from them, good service.

That is crazy, I had no idea Supersix's are so cheap!
-
• #7229
Cheap enough that I can bring myself to race on it and not worry. I guess it's cheap because last-gen frame and 10 speed.
-

I bought a Supersix in 2014 and it was 11 speed???

Tiagra groupset is 10 speed

Put Dura-Ace 9000 on The Punisher. That's it. Done. Finished. No more spending. Ever. Finito

What's the tyre clearance like on the caad12 disc frames? Better than the caad10 rim brake?

That's a familiar sentence.

XL Jekyll on the bay. Looks nice, on small caveat is that the suspension may need a service.

Think it was 30mm, and I wouldn't really go bigger otherwise the tyres will rub on the frames.

Was that the last time a major brand built a mountain bike with horizontal top tube?
-

Hah, well spotted.
My 1998 F1000 does have a sloping top tube...perhaps some technical issue led to this, as TT and "bits" should never, ever, ever meet.

I am in the wrong thread

28 Michelin's Power Endurance. I wouldn't want to try the 30 on mine for fear of rubbing.

^This. I'd run 30's only if I was confident that I'd encounter no gravel etc.
I have 28 Schwalbe Pro One, give me a second and I'll measure how wide they've become.

29mm according to the calipers.

Interesting study in contrasts this morning, having spent the past week riding a Synapse and then today getting on my CAAD12.
I think I'm going to try a layback post despite the SMP, and I'm going to drop the bars a little.

Anyone know where I can pick up a slightly narrower than normal spacer to sit between the top cap and stem on my CAAD 12 please?
Also @Dammit, what was the thick red grease you used on the bottom bracket? Have also read elsewhere (and subsequently lost the link) that it's the best thing for keeping grit etc from the bearings...

It's arrived. Glad to join the party

Deff needs the matching stem

Sorry, meant to reply to your PM, I'll check when I'm at home tonight. I want to say it's Finish Line Teflon grease, but a quick Google doesn't show packaging that matches my memory of the tube.

What size is that PhilDAS?
proper test that BB - bring along your pedals and shoes put some hammering down ... creaking isnt always evident by just spinning the cranks - that being said :) awesome ! velominatti would be proud
