  • Last baby shot is really gorgeous ! Congrats

  • Cheers @danslecarton, looking forward to seeing the results from your lens. Thanks @AlfredIV!

  • the portraits especially are really nice @mi7rennie

    great scans too

  • Thanks, finding this combo of film, dev and scan so satisfying. Looking for a bulk load of 120 to do more of the same but with the Rollei.

  • finally developed the last of my film from halloween
did two rolls of colour too the other day but there was some problem with the developer and they both came out blank :'(

  • Also I left my ricoh gr1v in a drybox all summer and it started working again, fuck yes.
only shot a test roll so far tho

  • Late reply but Harrison aka @HPx93 works at printspace, he might be able to hook you up

  • Loving the Halloween shots man.

Also any recommendations of a photography books, looking for inspiration and technical tuition.

Something concerned with B+W photography would be good.

  • Hey dude,

I work at theprintspace as @PhilDAS has mentioned, we've got a self service scanning service but its a lot easier than you might think and we show you how to use it, you'll easily get a 20x16 scan out of the hassleblad scanner. If you come in and ask for Harrison i'll walk you through it all myself!

Alternatively if you want someone else to do the scanning then chan photographic round the corner from us are where I would reccomend!

  • Hey mate, thanks for the reply. As I wrote earlier, I only need to scan one positive for printing. Is that possible or do I have to book the full hour? Cheers

    Thanks @PhilDAS

  • Just had a look at Chan, and will probably go with them for the scan. I'll drop by in the next couple weeks, when work isn't so hectic, to see you about the printing. Cheers.

  • Heads-up.

Ffordes has just listed some used XA series cameras, even an XA3 which looks pretty nice.

  • looking for inspiration and technical tuition.

  • Had no idea you worked there. I think you might have shown me how to use the hasselblad a few weeks ago.

  • The goofy looking one, dresses like a geography teacher? Yeah that's him

  • Right, got 6 rolls to post off for dev and scan. I was going to use peak imaging but I just thought I'd double check with you lot.

Peak imaging offer 1800x1200 scans for £8 dev and scan
    Or £15.70 for 2700x1800

I guess the lower res is fine for 35mm, but a 2mp scan for a 6x7 medium format negative seems a little self defeating, but £16 dev and scan also seems a little steep!

    It's 4x rolls 35mm c41
    1x 35mm e6
    1x 120 c41

    If that makes any difference.

  • I use filmdev.co.uk their medium scans are good value at £5.00 a roll and they seem to do a nice job.

  • Whatever resolution keeps it above 150dpi in print and 72dpi on screen.

For 135 c41 I've not found any better than Snaps Photo Services Ltd https://g.co/kgs/qf1Xqd

  • ^ +1 for snaps c41

  • @shinkuu_kiss, you reminded me that I never finished with my D3 panoramas.

    Here's the first:
