Are they? I thought they might have had to make a new injection mould and decided to add some texture the easy way by missing out the finishing pass on the mill.
It would be odd to go from injection moulding to additive manufacture unless there was such a huge design change that it became impossible to mould them, because injection moulding has a unit cost orders of magnitude lower on the sort of volumes they're making.

If I had to bet my money on it, I'd say they were. Maybe they needed a picture quickly and resorted to 3D printing it? This is what the 'finished' one looks like:
The previous picture does have the characteristic 'droopy lines' and you can also see the crossing lines which you often see on 3D printed objects:
But hard to say for sure.
