I would be interested in knowing what the longer distance runners on here have settled on as the preferred clothing mix.
V.much personal preference. I'm wicking baselayer plus LS merino layer, plus carry a light gillet / jacket layer for when setting off or pausing.
Others may well still be shorts & vest only.
One and a half laps of Richmond Park this morning. 13 miles in total. Very steady apart from the downhills, which I pushed. I walked for half a mile after 10 miles just to get used to walking and then running again.
Which raised an issue - I got cold very quickly, and struggled to warm up again when I started running again. I was wearing a thermal base layer, and a long sleeve top. I would be interested in knowing what the longer distance runners on here have settled on as the preferred clothing mix.
