It's got a fair bit to do, a very middle class covered market, the Royal Naval College, the National Maritime Museum, the Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory plus the park. There's also a fan museum (which isn't worth visiting). There are loads of cafes and restaurants too, a decent mix of chains and some good independents. Some good pubs too.
It'll be heaving though, it gets very busy on the Saturdays leading up to Christmas.

Had a long weekend there this time last year (Premier Inn booked well in advance, so reasonable rates) - got lucky with the weather so did a longish walk by the river - even so, didn't do everything @andyp suggests. TBF Mrs. E. reads most things so the Royal Observatory and Maritime Museum needed most of a day. Highlight for me was the Harrison timepieces. Will go back when time and funds allow.
tl;dr one day might not be enough.
What's Greenwich like?
A client has asked us to come up for mince pies etc on Thursday and Mrs CYOA is having lunch with some friends in town on Saturday so am thinking of AirBnBing with a day-trip around Greenwich on the Friday. Worth it? Never been to the observatory/naval college etc. Can we fill a day there? Nice places for lunch/dinner etc?
