That's not really much to aspire to...even Shimanos basic offering does a better job

You find Shimano cable discs better than BB7s?
-
• #13579
Frankly yeah. Install, adjust, forget. BB's need to be angled and shit. Ain't nobody got time for that!

• #13580
Fair enough, haven't tried them for a long time, been really happy with the BB7s on my mtb, would say they outperform hydros even.

I do find when you find the sweet spot, they'd stop a mad max truck on a dime, but most of the time it's always that 'shwing shwing' following you till death do you part.
Considering how cheap hydro is now, It just doesn't make sense unless you enjoy franken biking everything. -

I don't know, the Shimano one is great, but like every mechanical disc calipers, it relied on whether the frame is faced perfectly to allow the pads to sit 100% parallel to the rotor.
The main thing I love about BB7s or any SRAM/Avid disc brakes is that it can be aligned at any angle to compensate.
Biggest issues I have with BB7s is that the pads won't sit 100% on the calipers, so even if you aligned it right, it still sit at an angle inside the calipers.
Shimano isn't faultless with this, but less common.

Did Salvador Dali do your front mudguard stays?
-
• #13586
He was unavailable, though the surrealist take does help them clear the front caliper.

Nice. Do you have a link to that?

That's loooong.

Some nice stuff on there
People say they're good but imo they're ridiculously expensive for what is the end a mostly nicer looking mechanical disc brake caliper
