That's not really much to aspire to...even Shimanos basic offering does a better job
I don't know, the Shimano one is great, but like every mechanical disc calipers, it relied on whether the frame is faced perfectly to allow the pads to sit 100% parallel to the rotor.
The main thing I love about BB7s or any SRAM/Avid disc brakes is that it can be aligned at any angle to compensate.
Biggest issues I have with BB7s is that the pads won't sit 100% on the calipers, so even if you aligned it right, it still sit at an angle inside the calipers.
Shimano isn't faultless with this, but less common.
I imagine that they're a bit like well made bb7's
