Because there is nothing out there that works in the mud.....and I mean proper English claggy clay mud. Not loam, whatever the fuck that is.
Even dirt wizards, despite feeling like an anchor, don't cut it.
My mate just had one of the WTB Rangers delivered, to see it in the flesh, and I took a photo next to a new chupacubra.
They are about the same weight, look very similar, but are about half price.....but not a mud tyre.
I just got a Maxxis Rekon+ on the rear, best mud tyre I've ever used. 27.5x2.8. Pricey though, but so far no punctures, which around here is a big bonus. Schwalbe don't even last 1 ride. WTB Trailblazers lasted OK until a huge slash in sidewall.
