29x2.6" nobby nic on 26,6mm (inner) wide blunt ss

My mate has just fitted two of these to his 50mm mulefut rims, and they are the same size as my 2.4 contis

Weird. I've got those same Contis on an Easton Arc 30 and they're a couple of mm smaller than a 2.35" Nobby Nic on the same rim ( Easton Arc 30 ).

yeah I was somewhat disappointed with those as well. I switched from 2.35 nn to 2.6. the circumference (measured rim - over the tyre avoiding knobs - rim):

• 2.35": 161mm
  
• 2.6": 168mm
  
  

the casing width is about 59mm for the smaller and 61mm for the larger one, although I'd guess they havent streched out fully yet.

7mm difference is 0.276", so I expect they've designed the 2.6" to be not much taller than the 2.35" when fitted to an appropriately wide rim.

Because there is nothing out there that works in the mud.....and I mean proper English claggy clay mud. Not loam, whatever the fuck that is.

Even dirt wizards, despite feeling like an anchor, don't cut it.

My mate just had one of the WTB Rangers delivered, to see it in the flesh, and I took a photo next to a new chupacubra.
They are about the same weight, look very similar, but are about half price.....but not a mud tyre.

I just got a Maxxis Rekon+ on the rear, best mud tyre I've ever used. 27.5x2.8. Pricey though, but so far no punctures, which around here is a big bonus. Schwalbe don't even last 1 ride. WTB Trailblazers lasted OK until a huge slash in sidewall.

Reminds me of the Kona A, which I always dreamed about back when I used to ride a little bit of dirt.
