I just put a 46T on the instead of the 50T - it's much nicer. I got one from Spa. It's quite a bright silver but the chainring seems fine, it's a rebranded stronglight ring. I needed to file down the peg slightly so it wouldn't foul the crank arm.
You can get a 33T inner ring if you really want, TA do them.
I can get the CX crankset for £60 new though - sell my 105 and it's going to be pretty cost neutral.
