You don't sit in an Everyman, you slouch in the sofas which goes some way to eliminating that problem, but I get your point, there's only so much you can do.
A few of their properties are architecturally wonderful if you like that sort of thing (I do), Bristol is another old Art Deco site they rescued from the flat developers and looks fantastic now.

Once the lights go down you can't see any of that art deco stuff anyway...
Most middle-class euphemism ever.

Went to see Gimme Danger tonight, was expecting something a little different from the standard talking head band worship type music doc. Lots of funny stories still, but not exactly all killer.

The UFO conspiracy bit though?
Did you think it was aliens?
What about the revelation that we went to war because someone got well into The Rock (1996)

Same director's teamed up with Wahlberg again, Patriots Day, about the Boston bombing.
Key moment: Bomber's wife demands lawyer at police station "I have rights!"
Copper: "You don't have shit sweetheart"
The audience being manipulated to cheer the removal of citizens' rights.

Boff yet another franchise reboot...
But it's Aliens so I will find it hard to boycott. I hope they run mad with the psychoanalytical analysis that it's all about fear of rape and pregnancy and not as much turn it into a pew pew pew movie. [facehuggers...]
Here's to hoping right?

Going tomorrow night to catch it followed by Allied.
On that note, at what stage in his career did Brad Pitt decide all he wanted to do in life was talk with a southern accent and pretend to kill nazis with prop guns?

What's the Fantastic Beasts thing like?
It's the only thing on in Brixton after we've been for tea, but I'm thinking I'd probably rather just how home.

I've never seen any of the actual harry Potter films...
Story is predictable but ticks along quickly enough and you're never bored. The action parts are well done but not exactly original.
I did laugh out loud (briefly) once so there's that...
The above is basically the minimum I would expect of a film I'm made to pay £12 a ticket for though so it's a meh/10 for me.
The wife enjoyed it though so maybe it's just because I have no interest in the series / world etc.

No idea. Probably a one hit wonder for some anonymous director no one ever heard from again
My problem with old cinemas is there often isn't any banking. Those pictures make it look sexy as fuck. What's not sexy is going to see a film a have a 6ft wonder sit in front of me and block juuuust enough of the screen to annoy me. Modern cinemas all have banking, if you are going to renovate a building why not utilise modern design? Once the lights go down you can't see any of that art deco stuff anyway...
