So, this morning my front disc that was working perfectly saturday morning decided it could just stop braking and start squealing instead.
Had the same problem with the old disc / pads which is why I swapped them three weeks ago.
What could have caused this? contaminated pads? From standing in the cellar?
Although dragging the brake through a downhill section of my commute brought back the power and stopped it squealing. Burned it clean I guess.
brake left alone for a while sometime start to squeal before getting back to normal, probably due to dust on rotor and whatnot.
Also don't drag the brakes too much, as it will cause it to burn it out (thus create squeal and reduced power).
Piston seal has a leak.
