Mahoosive stack cancels out a lot of the reach, no? 390mm reach for a frame of these proportions, if anything would generally be considered a bit short.
-
• #59
Reach doesn't apply to the distance from saddle to stem (unless you have a 90 degree seat tube).

Granted it doesn't factor-in ST angle, saddle height, SP setback but it is a contributing factor (...that is in part affected by stack).

Only just seen this thread.
Always been a massive fan of Shand builds. Back when I'd bother posting in the bike porn thread he was a go to builder..
You went with pacenti rims final or stopgap?
Oh and btw @Eamesy that bike looks totally fucking mint

First ride done.
40 odd miles on Edinburgh's finest country lanes in -3 degree weather with fog and icy patches.
So much fun.

A few words...
Di2 is fucking mad crazy good. It had me grinning like an oaf the whole time I was using it. A bit tricky to get used to at first with two pairs of gloves on but feels comfortable now.
Compass tyres are the tits. Woke up this morning and the rear tyre had lost half of it's pressure. Initially I though tubeless and I were not going to get on at all but after inflating it, it held air all day. I guess the sealant was still settling?
I was a bit worried that with the geo, less drop and big tyres the bike would feel a little slow but I couldn't have been more wrong; it's like riding on a magic carpet, bumps on the road disappear and you just glide along with minimal effort.
This bike is the best.

Really like the gloss Shand logo on the inside of the matte black fork.

Thanks @Tenderloin
Pacenti rims are a final choice. I would have had to have waited until the end of December for the HED's which was too long.
The guys at Shand were all top people, too! Cannot recommend them enough.

That's normal, most tyres I've set up tubeless have required you to go out and ride on them for 20-30 minutes minimum to get them sealed properly.
Yeeeeessssssss eamesy! Beast.
