No shit. You know that the operating temperature within a nuclear reactor is about 300 and meltdown is about 800? I think that might be a bit hot.
This middle class willy waving competition isn't really changing my perceptions about wood burning stoves to be honest. Aside from the fact that London has a huge air pollution problem and you're all making it worse...
700 was too hot so I've closed it off a bit now and it down to 400 ish. Ideally I run it at about 400-500 ish. Imo 150 is too low if you have a flue fitted, it'll build up deposits and creosote at anything much below 150 degrees.
