  • Not sure if they had Black Ops when I was last in there, defo had Cuvee Noir. Worth a try though, if they haven't try Cage at Borough Market up the road.

  • Stellar selection from Beer52 this month

  • top lols. Stupid forum image hosting

  • Looking forward to hearing how the Pohjalas are. Their collaboration with ToOl, Tallinn, is absolutely awesome.

  • Drinking the Gamma Ray from this months at the moment. Nice to see some stouts in the box.

  • Had the Belgian stout last night, had to pour it away. It was completely flat and tasted vile.

So 100 bottles of Bourbon County stout will be on sale in one bottle shop in London for £20 a bottle on black friday. Fuck that.

Really? I haven't cracked that one open yet.

Will give second opinion soon (not that I distrust yours of course).

  • Looking at Twitter and untappd most are like it. I personally wouldn't have let it leave the brewery.

  • Night night :) xx

  • Giving Cloudwater another go with the DIPA v9. It smells interesting but let down on taste. Not unpleasant but in no way exciting or unique.

Will give it another year and see if they develop a beersonality...

  • Mochachocolata Ya Ya!

Amazingly good coffee caramel milk stout.

  • Hawkshead IPA. Rather good.

  • I really rate Hawkshead. Never had a bad beer from them plus there's none of this hype surrounding them. They are just quietly making good beer.

  • The brewery is worth visiting, very accommodating to the Jennride earlier this year. Plenty of good riding there too, road and trails.

Food looked good too, as long as you eat meat and/or cheese.

  • That covers both my major food groups. The Iti (New Zealand pale ale) was darn tasty too.

  • Tropigamma, very nice smooth fruity IPA.

Kinda killing it with Scotch Bonnets in my pasta sauce, but got the flavours before started eating. #beerloversmistakes

  • I had a tropigamma too last night, it looks weird like cloudy orangeade out of the can but very fruity and drinkable, stronger flavours then the bloody ell back in summer.

We also tried the sespresso, way too coffee tasting for me but the wife loved it.

  • Just got some bottles of that. BBE 2017 ? Seems early.

  • Some beer tastes better fresh I guess!

  • ^^^ I passed on the coffee one, thinking it'd be too much coffee despite my liking of big stouts.

^^ & ^ the Tropigamma was bbe 02/17 finding more ipa/dipa now has "Drink Fresh" prominent. Either important for the taste or good marketing to increase sales, bit like rinse & repeat marketing on shampoo maybe?

  • I went to Belgium for the day in the car yesterday, not a bad haul, that's Christmas sorted.
