Cause it's cheap, and offer larger tyres clearance I guess.
Would be great if it's like the higher end Plug but that probably come with a price hike.
TBF the standard alu fork on my Plug was fine, work well for the intended purpose.

At £549 that is not cheap and I am not talking subjectivity here. Esp when trade deal between Taiwan, China and UK is so suhweet, even at £349 (which is what the sale price will be) there is a good 20%+ margin for charge after retailers.

Afternoon.
Some spunk adder stole my sscx the other night so I'm looking for recommendations on a replacement. It was the Verenti Isolation that wiggle had a season ago that I'd swapped out some of the parts on, bb5's to bb7's, mud-guards, BMX pedals etc, even though it weighed a tonne it was perfect for here in Copenhagen.
Being that the bike was stolen I don't have a massive budget, £500-ish. For that I'd like disks again but other than that I don't really have any musts, I won't be racing or anything, this is a bike for thrashing about the city and hitting some mud and dirt tracks when the desire hits me.
I doubt I could build a similar bike on that budget, which really gives me a plug disc, A day one or the marin nicasio which isn't really a cx bike. I did have dreams of a Nature Boy but my budget doesn't go that far without a lottery win.
So yeah, what do you know?

Head over to your local Omnium dealer and have a look at Omnium CXC - you'll might find a second hand that sneeks under your budget easily.

That's a nice lookin' bike, I was looking for a drop bar but that does look good. I'll have a walk into town and see what I can find.

The cxc and the one have gone into sale for 5500 and 4900 respectively, worth the money or do I sit out for a second hand one for less?
The one wouldn't pass a sscx but maybe a serviceable track bike? -

Yeah that's what I've seen, torn between the one and the cxc, massive saving vs little saving.

I have the One - but with a different fork, so can't tell about clearance.

How do you rate it?

I've only used it as crit machine, in which it shines. Tooling around setup attached.

Always fancied a Tricross SS, but it would have ended up with flat pedals and risers with me :)

I am going g to use this for cx races, but I was originally going to use it for smashing around the city

I don't get on with drops, give me neck ache.
Flats and risers at 50cm width would make me a race bike (race for fun) or commuter smasher like my Dolan is :)Racer or smasher, both work for me :)
