I was dreaming of a non-hideously expensive rain jacket for commuting the other day, nice to see it now exists and in suitably bright colours (£10 says I buy a black one anyway because I have a disregard for my visability when black is an option..

This is the core version, so like most of the core stuff it will be a little loose and relax fit compared to the tighter fit of the pro stuff.

FFS literally bought a Rab jacket today as I couldn't live with the other rain jacket colours, my old grey one is on the way out.

The Rapha windjacket is certainly more boil in the bag then my old jeantex. Anybody know where I can buy new zipper?

Meanwhile I've upgraded to a Giro Chrono in grey which will probably be wrecked after a few winter rides.

anyone used/seen the reflective climbers shoes at night? Do they really pop as much as they suggest when faced with a car light?

I've got the giro republic and my mate has the empire, they're good but not amazing IMO.

Ours are way more reflective than the Giro shoes which is great but you pay for it in stiffness of material. The size and type of glass you use determines the amount of reflectivity and also the stiffness of the shoe.

The reflective coating on the Giro Empires are ultra fragile too. Mine are properly fucked after about 6 months use.

when are you going to wear them? I wouldnt mind some reflective slippers but for me I would want them for when its dark, like all of winter.

Wouldn't be that bad if there was a greyish base under the coating and not black. Giro would make a fortune if they sold touch up markers for these.

As for wearing in fall/winter, I find them a bit too cold for comfort, but nothing oversocks can't fix.
