Depends on the size of your feet.

I've got the giro republic and my mate has the empire, they're good but not amazing IMO.

Ours are way more reflective than the Giro shoes which is great but you pay for it in stiffness of material. The size and type of glass you use determines the amount of reflectivity and also the stiffness of the shoe.

Can you say a little more about stiffness? Surely the sole being stiff doesn't relate to the reflective material?
