  • Perforated straps here

    https://www.watchgecko.com/leather-watch-straps?custom_strap_style=3015

I'm sure some googling may derive more.

  • Easy to find nice looking straps with Google, hard to discern the quality of said straps, hence asking for a recommendation which I would hope would be based on direct experience.

  • Reverse image search found the original article...

"My strap is from the guru, Giuliano, and it mocks vintage Corfam. Plus, I paired it with a 25 Euro Omega pin buckle that I picked up at the local boutique; it has to be one of the cheapest things in the shop!"

    Edit: moar-
"My first email was to one of my favorite strap makers, Giuliano (he advertises on the Chronocentric OnTheDash Chronotrader forum), as I wanted to order a black leather Corfam-look strap with racing holes. Giuliano had saved my Dad’s measurements from an earlier order and the 18/16 strap was underway! As you can see, it turned out beautifully – as always. A big thanks to the “custom tailor” from Italy!"

  • I've got a hersch rally strap and it is good. £££

  • I've got a hersch rally strap and it is good. They do perf too

  • Say that again.

  • @Dammit - Jesus. Those Speedy's are nice!

  • They're interesting - a special edition that wasn't, as they ended up only producing enough to use up the dials they'd created when they believed that the family of Herge would allow them to use the Tintin brand. That means that the numbers are, apparently, in the limited edition range of 1-2000, for what was a standard production "Speedmaster Racing". Functionally it's a moon-watch (not a Speedmaster Racing!), with the red and white check dial.

  • Hersch rally starps are da bomb...

  • Manwell? They do auto speedmaster. Not TinTin?

  • Di Modell Rallye is the default choice for virtually everyone looking for a factory-look rally strap. Nicer than Omega's own offering imo.

Cheap to buy, last forever, look good, work good (though I have small wrists to need to cut the 'leash' that limits the travel of the second keeper so that I can move it further along the strap toward the watch.

Actually wearing one of mine today, and on a Speedmaster too.

    ETA:
Has the advantage of having two prongs, so the holes for fastening the strap carry on the rally style pattern all the way.

  • haven't put it on yet. I'm on two year rotation.

  • ^for mrak

  • Crap rushed photo but service went well. Not sure it has been opened in the last 50 years!

  • Don't like the fat yellow hand (?) at 10 o clock, otherwise quite nice.

  • That's to stop it blowing up apparently.
