on mine the texts were backwards. Doesn't really matter though. I put some carbon paste between the two tubes, but I don't know if it really helped to stop slipping or was it the new clamp or did I just use more torque.

Rode in today on it. Didn't die. Good enough for me.
Cheers for the carbon paste tip, didn't think of that. Managed to misalign the two parts and pushed too hard to get it through the opening and mulched up a little bit of the carbon at the bottom. Quite far inserted so not worried.

regular Rapha sizing

i guess it makes sense when the sizes go up to XXXL that they come up a bit small - difficult to order XL when you are medium in 'normal' clothes

I go for a large in rapha usually, but hopefully i'll be glad I went for XL for that winter fleece LS from Spexcel.

Not meaning to sound mean, but based on the description on aliexpress, and the garments being based on Rapha PT kit, I think sizing up is pretty logical. I'm a small in everything but med in Rapha PT. Its just a different cut, nothing more

I'm surprised they're as expensive as they are. Economies of scale I guess.

Not keen on the grub screw cable clamp either. At least not on anything chinese made.

The spexcel gilet I ordered in XL a month or so ago (after giving the original tiny L order to my smaller mate) just turned up, I can barely zip it up. Will need to lose 5kg at least.

Also, another spexcel jersey turned up the other week, size M. Fits perfectly.
