  • 100% agree on that. My Jag, someone had replaced the bridge with a Mustang bridge, which received internet wisdom says is the best way of doing things. But I wanted to try the original so bought one, installed it, and its far superior. That whole floating bridge idea is aces for tremolo, and makes the whole guitar feel more sinuous and more like a living thing. I think it is fussy design, but I don't think it's bad design.

    Incidentally, on the whole strat hate thing - my Jag has a modified tone pot that rolls off the very Jaggish top end to strat levels. Not great for playing live but for layering it's a sweet addition. I recommend it.
