@TM you're just so damn influential, and you're doing it before it's cool, or I catch up. In truth I haven't worked it out gear-wise, just figuring what's best as I go along if it's not obvious! More reading required for me in terms of compatibility and presume you can't go 1x on a standard chainring, which would have been nice.
@Heldring That's quite good to hear actually, looking briefly seems not all shadow/Type 2 rear derailleurs can go up to 42t.
@spotter it's a retro Zoom layback post, just used paint stripper on the logos and polished up in a couple of minutes. Before:
