They are currently my new favourite footwear, and look the nuts, until the white sole discolours and the upper gets fucked during winter...But they are comfy and probably more water resistant than I think.
Though obviously haven't tested them... -

Ask Corny about his zip up Nike Blazers. They looked waterproof. Would need to be fireproof if I ever see them again.
