There are plenty of deadstock ones on ebay for <£100.

The black and tan ones have a slightly questionable aesthetic but are usefully cheap and your feet stay dry even when the puddles come over your toes. I've worn mine in ankle deep mud and snow with no issues.

Duckboot soles gave shit grip on pedals tho.

Ask Corny about his zip up Nike Blazers. They looked waterproof. Would need to be fireproof if I ever see them again.

They are currently my new favourite footwear, and look the nuts, until the white sole discolours and the upper gets fucked during winter...

But they are comfy and probably more water resistant than I think.
Though obviously haven't tested them...
