There's going to be a lot of 'How To' videos popping up very soon, along with the product release!
I'd really like some feedback about this video, also if there's anything you'd like me to add to the 'How To' list, I'll see what I can do.
Here's the latest:

*Not much product placement
*It lacks of branding. I could use simple Fairy or lime green and make the same ad.
*Fella who used gloves and still got the shiee on his hands, could have explained why NQ is awesome and better than competitors.
*Fading video to a black screen with 2 lines of a purple text - big no noFor this insightful review I accept no less than freshly painted frame.

Another video up today.
Just a very short and simple one. Washing the bucket out before using it is something that will help reduce any concrete dust etc that's in there. Also showing how much the shampoo foams up.

The site doesn't support https so you need to remove that from the URL: http://www.noquarterpaint.co.uk/ The full set is £34.99, although I don't think I'd order until the site is secure. Looks like you can pay via paypal's site which will be safe but your billing address and email etc. still go through the unsecure site.

Last night I presented the detailing kit at Café Ventoux, a local cycling café.
As of now, every single brand new Boardman bike from the experience centre at Café Ventoux will have No Quarter paint protection applied before handover, something I'm very excited about!
As I turned up a few hours before the public, it was fantastic to sit down with Chris and have a chat all things cycling related.
He was telling me about his favourite bike being his first ever track bike and how his father found it in a skip, he also told me that he tried to search for the bike and could only find the last two owners!
Speaking with Chris about what was going through his head during the hour record and his relationship with other riders was fantastic. A name that popped up was Graeme Obree, someone Chris has a great amount of respect for.
I told him about how this forum has been a huge influence for me personally and we chatted about classic track bikes, what he used to ride and the kit he always wanted as a kid etc.
He also signed one of the detailing kits, something that will be given away on social media next week!

A little update to those who are interested!
We finished a Cervélo R5 a while ago.
No stickers on this frame, it was all done by stencils and masking. The lettering on the down-tube has been airbrushed ever so slightly at the top, giving the stencil a lot more depth, we also added a small amount of black and did the same thing to the bottom of the logo.

A few updates!
Yesterday, we launched our latest product which is a Speed Detailer.
Speed Detailer by No Quarter Paint, on Flickr
What it does:
. safely and easily remove light mud, grit, salt, fingerprints and general contaminants from your bike in seconds.
. specifically designed to keep your matte finishes matte, but add extra shine to your gloss finishes
. adds protection which lasts 2 weeks (or 2 wet washes, whichever comes first)If I say so myself, it's a fantastic product that I'm so excited about. R&D has taken 6 months for us to get it perfect, I really couldn't be happier with it! It's super quick to go over your whole bike, it also makes water bead nicely and repels a lot of the dirt, making future cleaning easier.
This product has been developed very close to home. No Quarter is based in Leicestershire, everything from the labels to the product itself has been made within 100 miles of us, dealing with independent manufacturers.
We're in the process of filming some cool videos of the product in action, which will go live next week.
I've been on this forum for the last 6 years, so as a little thank-you, I'd like to offer a discount code. To get 10% off anything No Quarter offers, please use the code 'lfgss' at the checkout.
I'm also excited to say the whole detailing range is now making its way into independent cycle retailers around the U.K!

Is that powder coated, or regular paint? (asking for a friend).
-
• #497
Painted in RAL6038.
It's carbon, so it's always painted. You end up with a real mess if you powder-coat carbon!
James
-
• #498
Gotcha. I'm assuming you can't stencil on powder-coating?
-
• #499
You can, but it makes a real mess. You also find that as powder-coat is charged, it manages to slightly make its way under the fine line of masking, which has to be removed before you put it through the oven.
We've found the best way to apply stencils on powder-coat is to flat the powder-coat down, 2k spray the stencils and then lacquer over.

Thanks for that explanation. Does that mean that you will entertain the idea, though caution against it?
Our new product range is coming out this month. I'm really excited to launch!

S-works finished!
We created stencils for the text and the rest of the masking was done by hand.

The colour is something we mixed in house. It's not a candy, but we added a lot of metal flake to the paint and then sprayed over with a pearl tint before lacquer.
It's a very deep colour which reflects the light amazingly. The down-tube had a matte stencil on which is only visible in some light.
