Hiya mate,
Yeah, I'd just thrown the wheel on quickly and wasn't thinking, that skewer will be off as soon as my hexlox (have you come across them, I'm excited to see how well they work, got some coming through for each part of the bike) skewer comes through anyways for a bit more security.
Didn't really want a half link, but it pulled the back wheel in a little closer because it was sitting out too far before. And another thing to add to the list is they're a bit noisier as well..
You're right, I've noticed some difference since switching from spoke to Hed3 in terms of ride feel and weight. And I do kind of fancy some omniums, just need to save a bit first.
Cheers for all the tips bud! -

You can get a regular chain and add in a single half link if you need to for smaller changes but you should be fine without. It's less aero to have the wheel slammed anyway.

I had considered that because I have another chain kicking about. Do you reckon where it is just now is ok or would you drop it back a bit? Cheers

Hadn't looked at the picture when I wrote. Looks fine to be honest. But a regular chain will be quieter i should think

Well I for one think this forum needs more pink sPoKs again.
A couple more tips/opinions:
-the quick release is traditionally on the non-drive side.
-half-link chains are somewhat frowned upon on here. Personally, I don't like their look and I think that they are heavier than their conventional counterparts.
-Aerospokes are also not a forum favorite, they're expensive and heavy and imo look cheap.
-I think something < 50mm for the rear wheel would look better.
-You might want to consider upgrading to real track cranks, I guess Omniums would be nice.
-If you want to upgrade your frame, check out the classifieds on here before you spent $$$ for a new blb frame.
