just buy normal jeans. No 'cycling' jeans I've ever tried are significantly better than Uniqlo/Levis etc. The only ones to get are Rapha and that's only for the pink turn up, if you care that much. But mine went through at the crotch faster than a pair of £20 H&M jeans

Rapha have worked well for me
Swrve are well respected, Levi's seem a bit marmite.
Others suggest just by cheap uniqlo ones
Buy what fits you best.

It sounds worryingly close to you agreeing with me, has someone hacked your account?

Thx all!

I've just started a thread on cycling-specific jeans:
You never know, something might come out that actually works. :)

My Rapha jeans practically exploded after only 3 months of riding. They did fit very nice, however.
Now I just use whatever Levi's with stretch are cheapest. Seem to last 6 months or so.

I have some Outlier trousers that have lasted almost 3 years. Would buy some more in a different style but $$$ and nowhere (that I know of) in the U.K. to try them on.

Outlier are amazing, superb quality and, as you say, last for ages.
But they aren't jeans.
-
• #3211
who still wears jeans in this day and age?
-
• #3212
I don't think these come in a cycling-specific cut.
Plus they aren't scheduled for two more centuries.

and... shit fixie skidders say 😉 >>>
-
• #3214
Seeing as Rapha will fix their jeans for free, it's practically the same as buying two or even three pairs of other jeans. Get them on the sale and £100 isn't crazy.

I've had a pair of Levis commuter jeans for years now and there's nothing wrong with them, would buy again but only if I got them cheaper as they are a tad expensive for what they are... and no, they're definately not waterproof or stain proof

I'd buy Swrve and Levi commuter again.

These gloves are rad.
They have lovely winter socks as well, but I always think they're a bit of a false economy because you've normally got overshoes on at this time of year.

I'm selling some 44.5 Empire SLX in 'stylish cycling kit' white over here https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/296170/#comment13326872

You're right, they are rad... on my Xmas list this year for sure! I don't wear overshoes so winter socks are a gogo!

Those Morvelo shoes look lovely; are they a lighter weight / non waterproof type or is that just how they appear?
-
• #3224
Are they softshell or like the defeet/wapha ones?

"Made from Thermoroubaix fabric insulating, water-repellent and durable, for cycling through the worst winter conditions."
Can't complain, It was 4° on the ride home tonight and they kept the feeling in my toes.
Burn him!
