Birman? We've got two, about 7 months old now.

Cat met a small human for the first time today and didn't try to eat it.
Confirmed child-safe.Must be nuts being a toddler and seeing a cat though. They must look like lions.

Special?

She looks sooooo soft. When can I cat annoy?
-
• #5707
Nope, cinnamon point bsh. Breeder has been in the cat game 45+yrs and it's the only one she's managed to produce and never seen another in competition. She had a litter before being neutered but all were pure cream or cinnamon tabby markings, had no idea she was rare til we met her.
@lynx - yup, she's insanely soft. She's def shy but affectionate. Thus far toys and scratching stuff don't seem to interest her.

I'll do the weekends for you if you like and could also do Wednesday morning.

Jumping and fetching, she can't get enough of it!

brilliant, did you do any treat training for that or did she just figure it out. Suzy can't half jump :)
-
• #5711
No training really, and not for treats. she sometimes just drops a paper ball that's lying around in the living between my feet and starts playing with it, and when I throw it she brings it back most of the times :) we play with her a lot as she has lots of energy because we live in the city center and she's always indoors

The sun shade is the latest place to be. You can see through it and it is flexy and they love chasing a stick run around the underneath. Until they forget they are up high, get carried away and slip off the edge....

lovely cats.
ah yes the "cover the leather in a thick throw" scenario - except ours then proceeds to dig underneath it, thereby destroying said leather as well as us sitting on her a few times as she's asleep under it!

She's pretty relaxed around us now. Win.
Just bought recycled paper litter as catsan sounds like she's working in a quarry at 3am when she chucks it all over the hall floor.
Pretty photogenic too.

And one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kerbl-Litter-Minka-Taupe-Cream/dp/B00L46GHTM/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1479662558&sr=1-1&keywords=cat+litter+box
No more problems. The cat litter is THE best thing we've bought for our two. Flushable, environmentally sound and odourless. Worth every penny.
The cat is awesome btw...

problematic night with our wee one on sunday - running around crying and letting out bits of urine with a bloody tinge - stayed up with her for a few hours as she rattled in and out of the cat flap until finally settling into 1 spot but still looking dark eyed and upset.
vets yesterday detected blood and proteins in the urine - a few jabs of anti biotics and other things and we are to keep an eye on her. plenty of fluids (yeah try giving that to our moggie!)

Sorry to hear that. Fabric had a bad UTI about a year ago and it really hit him for six. He soon bounced back though.
Hendricks is not a smart cat.
