Thanks for that, we've just got the one tray at the moment but will pick up another today.

She's confined to two(large) rooms at the mo. Just had a bit of an explore and sniff around but then scared the crap out of herself nearly falling into the laundry basket.
She just this min popped her head out for a little tickle so we're getting there. She doesn't seem interested in food or treats thus far but has had a bit of water.

Also, at some point foods/treats will be necessary.

Already looks happier, with a kind of "I'm not hiding I just like it under here" expression, compared with the earlier photo.

Don't feed him in the morning right after you get up so he learns these two events aren't connected.

so this was excellent advice cheers. I am now getting a lot more sleep!

Last time I got a rescue cat it took her a good week to come out from under the furniture. It will happen in time.

our two spent 2 weeks under/around/in bed before both ventured out to rip through the house until finally settling down into a routine of sleeping in bed all day , terrorising the house in evening, then sleeping all night.

Hocus is climbing EVERYTHING. Current fad is climbing up into bushes and then popping out at the top/side. Slightly worried the wooden electricity/phone poles will be next.

Is it a tactical position to attack humans from? When my dad was a student lodger the cat of the house would climb up to tops of curtains and cupboards in order to launch surprise head height leaps.

He's yet to jump on us. I think he just likes looking down on things. Like from the top of the wardrobe:

But he also likes being under things so buries himself in blankets or quilts or a stack of pillows:

Basically, he likes being places he shouldn't.

gotta love the cats and being on top!

Ours is still hiding but at least ate her dry food yesterday.
Could hear her charging around all night as well which can only be a good thing.

We're on holiday for a week shortly and the chap who used to feed our cats has moved back to the midlands- would anyone in SE London/Forest hill be up for seven days of cat food facilitation?

Or, those with automated cat feeders- what have you got?

I know a really good cat sitter in the area. Have been using him for over ten years.

You might be right on the edge of his coverage area though. Will pm you details.

We've used a lady we found here, a few times now.

I can potentially help on the weekdays, I work at the Horniman so could drop in before/after work. Can't do the weekends though so may be easier to get a sitter.

After accidentally scaring the shit out of her earlier, Fleur has suddenly become my best friend and has ventured out from under the sofa. Gave her a good brush which she seemed to really enjoy(ex show cat so comfy with grooming apparently) and she's now tucked up asleep in her cube in an IKEA unit.
First time I've really seen her properly since her arrival, she's gorgeous!

Awesome! Very pretty cat.

If you don't already have a cat specific one, can i recommend this as a brush. Our cats will run towards it when it comes out of the cupboard; such is their love for it.

Nice, was looking at ones like that earlier actually. We've just got a basic wide/narrow steel comb that her breeder gave us at the mo.

You need to be a little careful with the Furminator brush. If you over do it you can leave their coats pretty thinned out and it will take months to grow back fully. Use once or twice a week tops.
