Got a Canon 1000d for £65 delivered from a friend of a friend. Boggo 18-55mm kit lens.
"Err 01": clean contacts between body and lens.
Since the error happens below about 35mm, never at 55mm, there's probably a nick in the ribbon cable inside the lens.
Where's good for a used EFS 50mm prime?
