Because I'm currently back again in the Netherlands where I used to study and I kept a beater bike here at my friends place/former student house.
I'm not really spending money on it. The 35€ is made up of a chain for 10€ and a fixed rear wheel for 25€, the frame was removed as a wheel-less pos from a public bike rack by a community worker and I asked if I could have it before they throw it away. All other parts are from the parts bin and/or donations from friends.
My ultra low budget fixeh beater evolves: stripped and covered saddle, mudguard, some neon paint and a sharpie track-end 'conversion' which serves no purpose at all. 35€ spent in total so far...
