Norwich - Fakenham this weekend

I'm up in Norwich this weekend and fancied racing the Easter League cyclocross at Fakenham. Would anyone happen to be driving there from Norwich and have a spare spot in the car, or have an ingenious solution for getting a bike to Fakenham from Norwich on a Sunday? I'd rather not ride the 30 miles, race, and have to ride back.

You can get the train from Norwich to Kings Lynn (the closest station to Fakenham) but that will still give you a 21 mile ride before the race. The league have a FB page. Have you tried them to see if anyone can give you a lift?

It would be quicker to ride to Fakenham than get a train to Lynn.

Yes, I figured that, and there's Marriots way, which is quite a nice ride.

Maybe I'll just dismantle the bike, claim it's broken and hope the bus driver lets me on...

The amount of rain we've had in the last few days would make Marriots Way about the same mud levels as the XC I would think. More dog walkers though...
