what are the actual lenses like? tested them out in sunshine yet?

I'm frighteningly similar to your dimensions - how does the Spexcel kit fit on you and does it ship with the Spexcel logo or... other? Been on the lookout for the LS Rapha lookalike

It depends, I got a fake rapha brevet jersey (choose the 'custom logo' option) in M that was tiny, sold that to a mate and ordered one in L and it was only a little bit bigger, still tighter than I'd like (muffin tops have got to go).

I ordered one of their fake Rapha gilets and that arrived with spexcel branding (ordered L and it was tiny, gave it to same mate that fits the M brevet jersey, ordered XL and waiting for it to arrive).

I also ordered one of their fake Blacksheep jersey and shorts combo and the M jersey and XL bibs fit perfectly, so who knows what they're up to. I think my main concern with long sleeve is that if I get one that fits in the body, the arms will be too short.

May I ask how tall you are?

6'6" and pretty skinny in chest, neck and arms. Regrettably slightly less skinny in waist of late, maybe 35-36" or thereabouts.

what size do you take in Rapha tops? I am L in Rapha, 6ft4 with 32-33" waist. I have quite wide shoulders though despite my slender hips. should I go L or XL? maybe order both and sell one on here. so cheap

No idea in real rapha, I'm not really a #buyer, just fancied a jersey with reflective stripes that didn't look too silly.

Their rapha copy stuff appears to be smaller than their usual stuff and does seem to be quite well made compared to the normal chinese jerseys, but I guess size is always a bit of a gamble. I think their size charts are actually pretty accurate for the fake rapha stuff and less accurate for everything else.

But seriously, this is the only reason I buy lycra from china, dont want to trash my good stuff with filthly off road winter mud. If you get some please report back.

yeah I never use my nice road stuff for mtb unless it is very dry and I know the trails have been de-thornbushed. I will take the plunge on 11.11 when all the things are cheaper. who knows maybe the £ will have continued rising until then too :-)

I'm waiting on a couple things from spexcel when it turns up I'll let you know about sizing.

Radars arrived, took fucking ages though. Ordered on the 15th September and they showed up today completely out the blue.

Quality is good though, and full set of lenses included for £11.66 so I can't really complain.

I'd probably fork out for 'express' shipping if I were to buy again. It was a total pisstake.

This year's 11/11 sale appears to have begun over on AliExpress. Last year I picked up carbon rims for 90eur each. Anyone seen any good deals yet?

hmm, dunno - I see too that 'starts in 18 hours' sign but when I search for things I get the option already to filter by 11/11 products and see the 11/11 prices - although they're shown below the normal prices as if those are the prices that will be available in around 18 hours time..
