  • … thought you might like to know that I’ve got it back!

After finding it on Gumtree on Monday evening. I contacted the seller, arranged a sale, got their address and when they’d be home, and sent the police to collect it in my place along with proof that it was mine. The seller gave up the person they got it from, who had a houseful of stolen bike gear. He has been arrested and gets them one close to whoever who broke in to work too– we’re hoping for a match on the CCTV. Result!

Public service announcement while you’re reading: really recommend getting your bike registered on the National Cycle Database ( https://www.bikeregister.com/ ), or at least keeping a record of your frame number – made it a lot easier to convince the police to act and also to get it out of the evidence chain and back on the road.

    Cheers!
