Haha... no chance. Even if I was fit I'm still a rubbish MTBer. I hate dirt. And I'm most certainly not fit.
I would basically be riding it to get around. I've never ridden the Inbred off road and I've entered a race in Jan with some guys in the office. Thought it'd be sensible to at least throw some knobbies on a see what a race in the UK is like before embarrassing myself in front of people who actually think I can ride a bike ;)

They're in for a rude shock with me then. I always respond SOOO calmly to 'road' rage :)
Mind you, if it's as muddy as I expect Brit XC to be I probably won't be able to pick up my bike to throw it through their face anyway..

Had a great morning riding the 'Gorlech' red route at Brechfa, Carmarthenshire, after digging out my old MTB on Saturday. I'm ashamed at having not ridden it before, when it's only half an hour from home. Beautiful scenery at this time of year too. Nice change.

I think SE Brit XC courses have been through some kind of natural selection that has left only the loamy / sandy ones in use - that said I'm sure there's some clayfests somewhere but I've yet to experience a complete bike ruiner that the CX crowd sometimes chuck your way.

If there's a Bog of Eternal Stench to be crashed into, I will find it.

Thing is (and I know I've probably said this before) bikes like this should be excellent for tall blokes like you.
Of course I'm only assuming this and have no way of testing the presumption as I'm a short arse.Tell you what, come over to South Wales and we'll both book a Mojo Geometron demo day with Mojo. Uplift included and suspension technician on hand for fettling of the bounce.
Only £200. :-D

Nice. Been meaning to get there for a ride for quite some time as I live in Swansea. Where do you usually ride?

Erlestoke 12 in 2014 - all sticks within sight of the course in the hands of riders for mud removal. I gave up when I ran out of sticks and couldn't lift my bike let alone push it.

I've never really embraced MTB, so off-road riding this time of year tends to be CX events on Sundays. I want to do some more MTB stuff though, as we have so much of it on our doorstep. Will definitely be heading back to Brechfa sometime soon.

Extreme Wales on BBC2 right now has promise.

Hmmmm well it looks lovely but it's not extreme :)

It is the BBC :)

The RAB logo on the fellas jackets must be extreme as they keep blurring it out :)

It is.
I haven't yet, but it has had great feedback, worthy of a weekender.

Sharkpits. Represent!

Seeing as my girlfriend owns one, I should be more careful about dissing the pits.

I think they only made 5 xxl jerseys. Maybe less. I have one. @BareNecessities is just jelly because he'll never sharkpit.
Without killing me and leaving my body in the forest.
Like all the others....
