Haha... no chance. Even if I was fit I'm still a rubbish MTBer. I hate dirt. And I'm most certainly not fit.
I would basically be riding it to get around. I've never ridden the Inbred off road and I've entered a race in Jan with some guys in the office. Thought it'd be sensible to at least throw some knobbies on a see what a race in the UK is like before embarrassing myself in front of people who actually think I can ride a bike ;)
I suggest you don't do it as there is a serious risk that you show me and Howard up.
It's generally very good natured and passing is normally pretty high standard. If you are fit but relatively slower on 'technical' bits you may pass people on the fire roads and hold them up on the following single track. Hey ho it's a race. If they're in your class have at it.
