It's difficult to see past Lidl for Lebkuchen/Stollen/Speculoos for Xmas

Unlike cornichons, rollmops, herring in tomato sauce, comte and the avocados these products can be a bit hit and miss. Try Germandeli.

The Lidl Stollen is much better than the expensive artisan rubbish that ends up much too dry imho. German Mrs Backsplash who also makes her own sometimes also buys their Lebkuchen.

I had their lebkucken last year and while good value I didn't necessarily think they were that good. Plenty of bake for your buck though.

Had an M&S stollen yesterday - 8 quid for about 8 slices. Was very, very tasty.

Weiss und Wicklein seem to be the go-to brands there. Shall be ordering shortly.

Morisco in streatham opp the church and mosque. Seafood is nice.
