Which assos ones you referring too? So much more dollar though. But will invest for the right product.

Assos in summer in winter Rapha 3/4 bibs and Rapha tights.

The classic winter you got 30 days to test. What more do you want?

Has Assos actually done anything to improve their treatment of women other than allow them to wear tops in the modelling shots?
-
• #27232
Yes. Lots.

There still seems to be a lot of bad press around the situation.

My most used Rapha garment atm is pack jacket and judging by that the new reversible wind jacket looks nice.
Got one. It's lovely. Zip has a tendency to rub on your chin when unzipped though, because it doesn't have a guard/garage.

I got my sky deep winter bibs 2nd hand theyve only got some scuffing on the saddle bit. Really comfortable and warm. Especially the pre bent cut around the knees is awesome

the merino knee and arm warmers are truly fantastic

I wore my Winsie today, with shoe-covers, only lost blood flow in right foot. Must go warmer.

They're not current model year - they're a few years old now - but they're the midweight version not the full insulated winter tights. I think the modern equivalent would be the LL.Milletights.

Has anyone got the new reflective backpack? Can't tell if it looks stylish or a bit over the top
-
• #27240
Has anyone had any luck shrinking the merino arm warmers? I've come to the conclusion mine are a size too big but it's to late to return them.
Will they explode if I put them in a 60°C wash?

Will they explode if I put them in a 60°C wash?
Got a tumble dryer? I would start there. Moderate heat, couple of minutes, test fit, repeat until happy. Up the heat a bit if you aren't getting shrinkage.
A high heat wash might be too destructive.

I've a washer/dryer in one, I never use the dryer part but I'll give that a shot.
Should I be putting them in wet?

Should I be putting them in wet?
The internet seems to think so. That said I've never tried to shrink arm warmers, so your mileage may vary :)
-
• #27244
That won't work. I tumble dry mine exclusively and they don't shrink.
You'd need to wash them hotter to shrink them.
-
• #27245
Start with 40
-
• #27246
Ok cool I'll wash em at 40 and see how that goes, if there's no shrinkage I'll do the dryer thing.
-
• #27247
What could possibly go wrong here?
-
• #27248
Try a short 60 wash first - tumbledry and merino scares me
-
• #27249
Pro tip: If your arm warmers are too big, try wearing them as leg warmers.

Ah OK. Good to know I can tumble dry arm warmers with abandon! Any other Rapha stuff TD resistant?
Rapha got what they needed from the Sky relationship, didn't need to keep it going.
