Excellent. A friend has a gunmetal grey one which looks fantastic on wide marathon mondials and SKS guards.

Missed this last time round. Love that colour. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

The frame looks like a Winston Vaz but you can check by looking at the back of the seat collar - a two pointed finish on the rear (single point at front) is the Winston marker. The 'holes' were used on some Roberts-built frames that were branded by sponsors.

Was reminded about this over on another thread.
Built it up some time ago, but for some reason didn't ride it much.
I dug it out at the weekend, and have been tooling around town on it. Much fun.
Need to sort out new (bigger) tyres, and a new saddle. Might fit guards and a rack for winter duties, but basically, it's done:

Love this bike.. and need to find something similar to ride round the mucky paths of East Kent.

That's a lovely Roberts. What's the ratio? Road gearing surely. If you ever fancy getting rid!
Little bit of progress today.
Offered up seat post, saddle, bars and stem.
Saddle is temporary, post will likely be replaced by a layback in silver.
Bars are Nitto B2520AA. They have a slight bend, which I find very pleasing.
Initial fit of Veloce Flat Bar Shifters:
Was going great guns, and popped down the shed to liberate a bottom bracket from another frame. This has proved to be more difficult than anticipated, so just off to see a man with a big vice.
