That's awful, I had no idea. I hadn't been following any of this. I suppose he must have been keeping it quiet.

For those who don't have German, Dominik Nerz has retired from pro cycling on doctors' advice because of the many head injuries he's suffered (at least six or seven times in the past year alone). He can barely move at the moment and suffers from headaches, vertigo, and orientation difficulties. He thinks his recovery, partial though it will most likely be, will take at least a year.
