@Sam_w I had a similar discussion elsewhere and had the recommendation to double up on all hard to install ethernet cables, ie if you dig one down to your cottage. That way you'll have a backup in case one decides to pack it in.

Ah yes, good idea. I was thinking about putting everything in conduit\ducting with pull through string, but seeing as cable is pretty cheap I might as well put two down in most difficult places.
