In other news, the Brexit court case decision is due "after 10am" according to the FT (which has controversially being "pinking up" its pages for years, due to some archaic tradition)

Link to the good news BUT government will appeal. Still, perhaps that means proper conversations on something that affects everyone :)

Yay, the pound has jumped... perhaps the LFGSS bills will go down now rather than up?

I'm not so sure that an appeal is inevitable. Might just cot their losses, accept outcome and change tack.
-

There will be an appeal but the judgement looks pretty final; if triggering article 50 changes UK laws then parliament has to vote on it.

They could appeal to the European Court of Justice.
Oh.

I'm not so sure that an appeal is inevitable.
Doesn't this administration, particularly May, have a track history of always appealing decisions that don't go in their favour?
-
• #5750
Maybe, I don't know about that.
It just seems that its quite a risk to appeal and lose given that it would take the process perilously close to the self imposed end of March A50 deadline.
Perhaps better to accept defeat and win over Parliament. Or perhaps they can do both? Appeal and appease just in case?
So. Morris dancers are North African terrorists armed with biological weapons.
